The horse, a flight animal, is easily frightened and will either run or strike out in defense of real or perceived threats. We teach you how to handle a horse so trust is instilled and the horse works with you, not fights against you. Module 1.

If you are new to this wonderful world of horses and don’t know a forelock from a fetlock or feather, we take you through all the essential points on a horse. Learn the 10 behavioral traits of a horse and how to deal with each of them in a non-threatening way. We teach you horsemanship.  Module 2.

Learn every aspect of the hoof so that you know -- really know -- the best way to trim a hoof. Being confident in your knowledge is a great leap towards becoming a professional farrier. Learn the good, the bad and the ugly foot conformations in Module 3.

Of course you will need the proper farrier tools. All the information you need is in Module 4.

Shoeing demands forging skills. Hone your forging skills in Module 5.
